Threads have a new beauty crush on UK skincare brand Oskia London!

Whilst I am a fan of all the products in this small, boutique skincare range I was particularly impressed with the Nutri-Active Day Cream & Pure MSM Capsules. Naturally Bronze

I got married last week and I was under strict instructions from one of my bridesmaids that even a hint of a white tan line would spoil my beautiful Amanda Wakeley dress... so I took her advice and kept to the shade when we hit the beach in Spain and instead of having a natural sun kissed tan I used Xen Tan (also recommended by my bridesmaid) and I can honestly say it is the best fake tan i have ever used. If you have fair skin and are looking for a natural bronzed glow, then this is the fake tan for you - It does sun kissed to perfection!

Also fake tan is definitely having a fashion moment and currently favoured by many A-listers this summer.

You just need to remember it is more about a bronzed glow and healthy looking tan and not an excuse to try any copy Valentino's tan!

Add A Little Lilac In Your Life!

Pastels and nudes are huge for SS10 so why not add these on trend shades into your make-up. Lilacs are an easy shade to wear and it is a fresh way to add a splash of colour into your colour palette.

Prep the eye lid with an eye primer like Macs Prep and Prime eye, or Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base to ensure an easy and even application. Wash over your shadow with a soft blending brush like the Mac 224 blender brush. Some lovely lilac palettes around at the moment are Diors Stylish Move 5 colour eye palette and YSL Harmony for eyes palette in Lilac Sky (both perfect to take a daytime look into the night).

Also try single Mac shades in Crème de Violet and Stars and Rockets (remember you can create your own palette of four, just pick your favourites!).
For an evening edge smudge a soft smokey line of Mac pencil in Prunella into the lash line and if you really want to go all out finish off with YSL volume effect mascara in Fascinating Violet.

Threads loves the body oils around at the moment! So try giving those limbs a little extra pampering with Nars Monoi Body Glow II Oil (smells divine!) or Illamasquas two shades of Illume Oils in Volt and Pulse.

These light weight dry oils are great for holiday as they moisturise, highlight and contour... leaving a lovely shimmering glow and giving you that extra bit of confidence you need to get those legs out!

A beautiful, glowing complexion is a must this summer... so think natural dewy radiance.

Try Laura Merciers brand new pressed bronzing powders (in 4 natural shades). To compliment this remember that with a bronzed look you can afford to go light on the rest of you make-up, flawless skin is a statement in itself. Apply your bronzer where the sun would naturally catch your face, sweep across the forehead, down the centre and a touch on the cheeks. Additionally accent with a highlighter where the light hits your face; to the tops of your cheek bones and underneath the brow bone.

For fresh dewy skin try Nars orgasm illuminator mixed with a base and applied all over the face or just in specific areas to highlight. Benefit’s cult product High Beam also works well, and Moon Beam for those with a naturally warmer complexion. Also don’t forget your primer! It is another must in these times of bare faced chic. My two favourites are Illamasqua’s Satin Primer with SPF 20 and Laura Mercier’s Foundation Primer, both give a wonderful dewy finish.
