Well here at Threads we have decided to put together the perfect package to answer all of your make-up queries personally with a professional make-up artist.

After all, shopping for make-up can be overwhelming with so many brands, all claiming to have super powers! That's why shopping with a professional make-up artist can make it simple, enlightening and most importantly enjoyable.

Threads professional make-up artists will give you insider tips on the best brands, make-up application tricks and colour recommendations for your skin tone.

Threads make-up shopping usually takes place in central London due to the variety of shops and services available. In 2011 we are hoping to expand this service across the UK.

When shopping for make-up it is important to shop with a purpose, focusing on what is missing or wrong in your make-up bag. Therefore, prior to all make-up shopping experiences we have a phone consultation to discuss your lifestyle requirements; occupation, leisure activities, goals you would like to achieve, personal style of make-up or looks you like.

Selfridges are host to the make up shop (unless you request otherwise) due to their vast selection of cosmetic products and lasts two hours. To start off, you will have a one-to-one consultation with your own makeup artist, this is followed by a bespoke shopping trip full of top-tips, application demonstrations and best buys for your skin tone.

The novelty of this experience is that you have a dedicated independent make-up artist on hand to focus on all your needs and because they are not affiliated with a brand, it allows them to give you impartial professional advice.

Personal shopping with a make-up artist will give you confidence when it comes to both shopping for and applying make-up. A lesson that will stay with you forever!
