    Jenny Packham bride...

Jenny Packham is the choice of the stars for red carpet frocks to bridal gowns. You really will never feel more gorgeous, glamourous and feminine than you will in a Jenny Packham dress.

Our advice is that it is best to see Jenny Packham's wedding dresses at her beautiful shop in London rather than a stockist... Not only will this allow you to see the full collection but the boutique itself is bridal eye candy. With a huge, free standing mirror in the garden and the look of a beautiful bridal treasure chest inside it is the perfect setting to try on potential wedding dresses.

Whilst still a little pricey for your average budget Jenny Packham is one of the more reasonable wedding dress designers with dresses starting from around £1,200+

    Amanda Wakeley bridal collection...

Amanda Wakeley is one of a few wedding dress designers who know how to design the perfect wedding dress. The soft draping and mixing of jersey with fine silk hangs beautifully on her bridal designs and she has a collection that suits the traditional to the bohemian bride, the english country to the beach venue and the fashionista to subtle personalities. Her only drawback is often the price but here at Threads we see it as a bridal investment...

Also if you love Amanda Wakeley designs but have a more modest budget you can find her bridal wear discounted at Bicester Village and often getting resold on websites such as Rock My Wedding.

    Net-a-porter bride... Net-a-porter bride... Net-a-porter bride...

The way we envisage our wedding dress, what it should look like, our experience and place of purchase is forever changing. This is one of the reasons why Threads has fallen in love with Net-a-porter's online Bridal Boutique.

It's first year has seen great success with exclusive lines, fashion-forward collections and an online Bridal Magazine. Net-a-porter is really starting to capture the hearts of the new bride and is paving the way for a new era of buying bridal wear.

The real beauty of Net-a-porter's Bridal Boutique is it's simplicity. It's small and almost perfect collection of fashionable wedding dress' and in equal measure, wedding dress alternatives continues to brings us back to the boutique. And even though the buying experience will not be in a shop with weeping friends or family members the modern women is often short of time and whilst they might like the idea of the wedding shop experience this alternative is very appealing!

Our personal favourites include Matthew Williamson's NEW Bridal Collection… Hairbands by Louis Mariette… Giuseppe Zanotti shoes… the list could go on…
